Become a Solstice Teacher

Sat Nam,

Our hearts go out to each of you at this time of great upheaval and challenge. We're sending you our wishes of health for yourself, all your loved ones, your communities, and the world.

In response to the public health challenge and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we have decided to cancel all of our in-person events for 2020: Summer Solstice Sadhana Celebration, International Women's Camp, Khalsa Youth Camp and now, most recently, Winter Solstice Sadhana Celebration.

We will, however, be holding space for two virtual events: a 1-day September e-Equinox on the 19th, as well as a 3-day December e-Solstice Summit.

We have enjoyed supporting our community online with Kundalini Yoga and look forward to continuing to do so through these future events and our other channels.

Best Wishes,

The 3HO Foundation Team

This application is only to get on the Solstice Teacher Invitation List.  If you already get invitation emails to teach, you do not need to submit this form.

Classes at Solstice make up a major part of the Solstice Sadhana Experience. Anyone who meets the requirements for consideration may apply to become a Solstice Teacher.

I. Requirements for Consideration

1) You have attended at least 1 Winter or Summer Solstice in the past year.

2) You are actively teaching a Kundalini Yoga class or a class related to your subject matter.

3) To get on the Solstice Teacher Invitation List, you must first be an active IKYTA member and KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga teacher.  Join or renew your IKYTA membership to apply.

4) It's been at least 3 years since you began teaching Kundalini Yoga, and you love it!

II. Apply

To apply, submit an online application by Jan 15th for Summer Solstice, and July 15th for Winter Solstice.

III. Acceptance

If you are accepted, you are added to our Solstice Teacher Invitation List.  This doesn't guarantee you a teaching spot at any of our Solstice events. You must submit a class proposal for each Solstice event if you want to teach.  Once you are on the list, you will get an invitation letter before each Solstice asking you to submit your class proposal. We choose the classes/teachers for each solstice based on a variety of needs—class themes, classroom times and availability, and number of applicants.

Invitation letters go out 5 months before each Solstice event, so depending on when your application is accepted, you might not be able to teach at the next upcoming event. New applicants must submit their application by January 15th in order to be invited to teach at Summer Solstice, and by July 15th for Winter Solstice.

All teachers remain on our Solstice Teacher Invitation List unless they ask to be taken off or if there is an issue with your IKYTA membership or standing.  3HO reserves the right to remove teachers at any time.
